A very attractive variety of the Japanese Hop, with beautifully silver-white variegated or blotched leaves. It is as hardy and of the same vigorous growth as the green leaved species, and will prove to be an admirable and decorative climbing plant, well suited for covering fences, rustic arches, etc. Eighty per cent, of the seedlings will come true from seed. The foliage is most luxuriant, distinct and varied —some vines have rich vivid green leaves, others have silvery leaves, some with yellow leaves, and many produce leaves mottled and checkered like rich mosaics of light and dark green, white and gray. The colors range through reds, blues, indigo and blackish purple; from snow white to cream and silver gray. Some are striped, starred and spotted; others have magnificent edges and throats.
