"Rick" Wakeman is an English keyboardist, songwriter, television and radio presenter, and author. He recorded 'Space Oddity' with David Bowie at the start of a career as a session musician in which he has played over 2000 different songs. A member of The Strawbs, he left to join rock supergroup Yes in 1971 - an association he has maintained irregularly over the subsequent years.
