U. S. Department of Justice attorneys from Denver (front to back) Juan Villasenor, Matthew Kirsh and Bob Troyer at a meeting in Boulder County to address concerns about hate crimes, scams and other issues in Longmong, CO. Following the 2016 Presidential election, State District Attorney Stan Garnett created a wall of his own during this meeting in Longmont, CO. Speaking to an audience of about 400 people, many Spanish-speaking, Garnett drew a line between Federal immigration enforcement and state/local enforcement. He encouraged reporting of hate crimes and illegal scams while assuring that undocumented victims would not be turned over to immigration authorities. Garnett is district attorney in Colorado's 20th District, essentially Boulder County.
