Divers at a cage dive in Gansbaai south Africa

On expedition with Brian Mc. Farlane cagedive expeditions where tourists enter a steel cage to watch whiteshark up close. The sharks are lured to the boats vicinity with a net of fishlivers, the sharks follow the oil from the livers to the boat where the guides lure the shark as close as possible to the cage with a tuna head on a rope. The sharks are by no means fed, it's illegal to do so. Gansbaai is known as the whiteshark capital of the world and people are almost guaranteed to see sharks on (the daily) expeditions like these. The sharks are attracted by the approximately seals that live between Geyser Rock and Dyer Island: the so called "Shark Alley".
