There is Chepstow Castle with its Early Normangateway spanned by a circular arch flanked by round OLD CASTLES 129 towers. In the inner court there are gardens and ruinsof a grand hall, and in the outer the remains of a chapelwith evidences of beautifully groined vaulting, and alsoa winding staircase leading to the battlements.
