SAN DIEGO (May 9, 2017) Cmdr. Wayne Liebold, commanding officer of USS Montgomery (LCS 8) Blue Crew and native of Leesburg, Georgia, assumes command of Montgomery from Cmdr. Mark Stefanik, commanding officer of Montgomery Gold Crew and native of Tehachapi, California, during an exchange of command ceremony held on board the ship. Montgomery recently completed Final Contract Trials and several Combat Systems Ship Qualification Trial events.
