Sherman Wood attends the Sunset Parade at the United States Marine Corps War Memorial in Arlington, Va., June 7. Watching the performance is one of many events educators from states east of the Mississippi River experience during the week-long 2016 Key Leaders and Educators Workshop. Until it ends June 10, educators learn how Marine officers develop through programs and training, enabling educators to provide guidance based on firsthand experience to students interested in becoming Marine officers. Wood is the head football coach for Salisbury University in Salisbury, Md.
