A late Hellenistic-early Roman footed cup with gold medallion, late 1st century BC - early 1st century AD, Tulip-shaped cup with dropping rim, made on a lathe. Soldered at bottom a hollow stem with a turned foot. The interior featuring at centre an inserted gold medallion in repoussé intricately engraved with a fine image of Demeter-Ceres. The goddess with necklace and long, centrally parted hair. The top layer of hair held together at back, falling down at the sides on the shoulders.
