Victory Brings Coast Guardsmen No Rest. Ramming the sixth Nazi U-Boat she encountered within 12 hours left the gallant Coast Guard cutter Campbell with a 12-foot hole in her side below the waterline. The cofferdam resting on deck was constructed to plug the hole and is about to be slid over the side. Her engine room flooded, the Coast Guard cutter had to be towed 800 miles to an unnamed East Coast port for repair.
