The New Caledonian taxa plus Pseudothecadactylus, united at Node 14 (Fig. 19), primitively share the following characters: overlap of jugal and lateral infraorbital pro- cess of prefrontal extensive; recessus scalae tympanii at least partially hidden ventrally by lateral process of basioccipital; scleral ossicles 30 or more in number; peritoneum unpigmented; subcaudal scansors present; oviparous.
