Margate, the seaside town in Kent Britain. The town is suffering from a faded glory. Shops are shut and on a damp day in February the town feels and looks down at heel. In the spring of 2011 the brand new Turner Centre ( after the artist ) will open on the sea front and hopefully bring in some more visitors. The Dreamland Park which opened in 1920 is now in disrepair. The Scenic Railway Roller Coaster in Dreamland and the largest in the UK caught fire in 2008 but is now a listed Grade 11 Building. Tender bids are being put forward for re construction. If a bid is accepted work should start in March 2011 and be completed by 2013.
