Ollantaytambo, Peru - 11 May 2018 WARNING - not for pet lovers or vegetarians. Most of us tend to think of guinea pigs as cute pets running around treadmills in a cage. Not in parts of South America, though, where they are a local delicacy. Here we see inside an ordinary house in Ollantaytambo. But these fluffy cuties are not in a cage, but a and I suspect the lone chicken is destined to end up the same way, in the cooking pots shown here. Note - freely invited into house interior, and free to take photographs.
