Designer at 24 years of the Aries brand, he was president of the chamber of trade of automobile manufacturers from 1918 to 1953. from 1921 until his death in 1958, chairman of the committee of the Salon de l'Automobile. The Vanderbilt Cup was the first major trophy in American auto racing
