If it shouldhappen that the planting cannot be done beforevegetation commences in spring, the plantsshould be taken up early in February, andhealed in a cool shaded place, till the finalplanting can be performed. When the plantsare cut back before they are taken up, they should not be cut quite so low as they wouldrequire to be when planted against the wall, inorder to leave a choice of well-situated buds,to which they can then be cut. The trees should be planted as deeply in thesoil as they were before removal, and about 6inches from the wall.
