For example, theNorth Hill district is served by the extensionof McLain Park and the large addition to theschool ground at Dayton Sti-eet and EastTallmadge Avenue. The population of thelow land along the river is proAided for bythe extension of Elizabeth Park. This ex-tension is proposed not only to give morespace, but to wipe out the j)()ssibility <»fusing the land for housing purposes. Dueto the location, danger from floods, and the. South from Thornton Street Lookin;, down the Ohio Canal to Siinimil Lake 53 character of existing buildings, this sectionis destined to become one of the worst partsof the city unless preventive measures aretaken.
