Mention the American Florist when ioriting Tale of a Check. Anderson, Ind., November 10.—The- recent wreck at Collinsville, O., on the Richmond division of the Penn- sylvania lines, has just disclosed the reason a letter containing a check to florists at New Castle was never re- ceived, says the New Castle Courier. On March 4. 1906, O. P. Moore, rep- resenting the Anderson lodge of Elks, forwarded to the New Castle florists a check for flowers. A month later a statement from the florists was re- ceived by the lodge. Moore again addressed a letter to the florists ex- plaining he had forwarded a check. The florists replied that such a check was not received. After some correspondence over the matter the lodge and the New Castle florist ceased their business relations because of the controversy. The check that Moore forwarded was not returned as cashed. The mystery of his letter with the check was not cleared up until this week when tV letter and check were returned through the mail to Moore. It was explained that when the inail car of the wrecked passenger train was re- cently taken apart at the railroad shops several pieces of mail were found in a crevice betwe
