The melons are very attractive and grow to about the same size as "Rockyford," but specimens run more uniform as to size and shape, which is nearly round. The skin is covered with a thick grayish netting, adding much to the appearance of the melon. The flesh is green, with slight golden tint next to the seed cavity, and the flavor is delicious, being remarkably sweet and juicy. Vines are pro- ductive and melons mature early, making it desirable both for the home garden and for shipping, as it is of a size and shape which is especially suited for crating.
