Two large buildings dominate the southwest side of Continental Square, York Pennsylvania.
Two large buildings dominate the southwest side of Continental Square. On the left (the George Street side) stands the Colonial Hotel Building. A red brick structure with square windows and a rounded turret on one side constructed in French Chateau Style in 1891. Ajoining it is the golden brick structure of the Rupp Building constructed in the Romanesque Revival Style it has a steeply pitched pyramidal roof with a square end tower and double arched windows. It was built in 1892, and was originally for mercantile trade.
