Interior David Leask house.; Scope and content: Photo by Haldane, native photographer in Metlakahtla. Leask was a teacher in the Mission School and secretary of the Metlakahtla Village Council. On behalf of the Metlakahtlans he prepared the address of welcome for Lord Dufferin's visit to Metlakahtla, in 1876, and assisted in the selection of Annette Island for the new home of the Meltlakahtla Mission colony in Alaska.
