Gary, June 1, 1889, for the sum of $2,100.(Marcus W. Scott and wife also quit-claimed to the city their interest • The land was purchased of William H. Van Vorst. The deed was dated lune 2, 1S84; con-sideration, $1,800. GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT. 243 in certain lots in Gary Place by deed dated June 17, 1889.) The schoolhouse was built during the same year, and cost $13,679.
