One of the pretexts being presented against the eviction of Dale farm is the interruption this will cause to the children's education. In reality, traveler children rarely attend or see through their schooling. Carys Hill primary school, near Billericay in Essex, now only has a handful of non traveler children on it's register and truancy among them is rife, seeing the school reach the bottom of league tables. Other issues that face the children of such communities are the health problems associated with the traveler life style.
