An A-10 Thunderbolt II departs after receiving fuel from a 908th Expeditionary Air Refueling Squadron KC-10 Extender May 31, 2017, over an undisclosed location in southwest Asia. The Thunderbolt II can employ a wide variety of conventional munitions and the GAU-8/A 30mm cannon, capable of firing 3,900 rounds per minute to defeat a wide variety of targets including tanks.
