The 1906 Parliament took the expansion decision, and the work started the same year. The station was built in 3 steps, of which the first 4 was taken in operation 1910. Another 4 aggregate was included in the second expansion stage made in 1912-1914. The third stage of 5 aggregates was completed in 1918-1921.
