Strange to say, our arrival seemed to create nogreat interest or excitement; but this was probably duenot to our lack of importance (perish the thought*, butto lack of numbers—for the class of 98 has never been a very large one. Aswe now look back over that year from our standpoint as Juniors, we do notremember that anything of especial interest happened, except that a large partof the class became disgusted at the outrageous ignorance of the faculty, andtherefore left at the end of the year never to return.
