According toMr. Chick they were those of Will Petre who was murderedby Edward Drewe in 1611, and whose burial place waslost sight of until his bones were disturbed in this unpoeticway. The skull as a matter of fact, exhibited what isknown in surgery as a punctured and penetrating woundof the occipital bone.
