This locomotive was of the single motortype and the transmission was a set of gears instead of chainand sprocket as in the preceeding machines. It is said that thismachine is still in service. A locomotive known as the Terrapin Back,was built by thesame company in 1891 and several of these machines have operatedcontinuously since this time.
