A sign stands in the northeast England after the severe flooding experienced in the summer of 2008. Several villages and towns of Northumberland were badly affected by flooding including Warkworth, whose river, the Coquet, burst its banks. The council has erected a notice to let people know that the footpath has been closed due to flood damage.
