The misbranding bill now before Con- gress, to which The Eeview has called attention, is to be amended so as to ex- empt from its provisions nursery stock of such character as is indistinguishable by its appearance. E. S. WELCH INCORPORATES. Tlie Mount Arbor Nurseries, Shenan- doah, la., has been incorporated with an authorized capital stock of $300,000, of which $200,000 was paid up and issued at the time of organization. The officers of the corporation are: President, E. S. Welch; vice-president and treasurer, E. E. May; secretary, R. M. Gwynn; superintendent, F. W. Welch; assistant superintendent, R. N. Adair. The purpose of incorporating the Mount Arbor Nurseries is to perpetuate the business. The business was established in 1875 and came into the hands of E. S. Welch in the spring of 1891. It has grown into one of the largest wholesale nurseries in the United States. The rapid growth of the business has been possible partly because of the fa- vorable conditions and soil for the growth of nursery stock, but especially because of the efficient management of the business. Since 1891 the business has been owned and managed by E. S. Welch. E. E. May, who becomes vice- president and treasurer, is a Nebraskan by birth, graduated from the State Uni- versity of Nebraska, and was employed for four seasons in the sales depart
