The following is from a local news- paper published at Bellingham, Wash.: *' Because of heavy rains of last year, which ruined hundreds of tons of seed, the Morse Seed Co., San Francisco, has decided not to let seed contracts in this vicinity this year. This announcement is made by Vander Yacht, of Lynden, whose brother acted as agent for the company here last .year. Mr. Yacht has the following to say: " 'While it is true that last season was the first in many years when rains during harvest have done any harm, the seed company doesn't seem to take that into account. I understand that it pro- poses to grow seed this year in Idaho. " 'The D. M. Ferry people also con- tracted for a lot of seed peas in the neighborhood of Lynden last year. I haven't
