An ethnic Monpa man from the Tawang Valley in northern Arunachal Pradesh, India.

An ethnic Monpa man from the Tawang Valley, a former Tibetan Kingdom that was signed over to British- run India by way of the Simla Accord in 1914. It is now a part of the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh, a fact fiercely disputed by China who do not recognize the Simla Accord and maintain that Tawang is theirs. The Monpa are Mongoloid; the men wear a felt skull cap with fringes or tassels.
