'Mengs', (1728-1779), 1830. Anton Raphael Mengs (1728-1779) German Rococo painter, whose fresco Parnassus at Villa Albani gained him a reputation as a master, he painted the ceiling in the Royal Palace of Madrid and was also a writer.
