Lilium (Lily).—The Liliums are extremely hardy, and with few exceptions quite fra- grant, and most of the varieties are exceedingly beautiful. AUEATUM (The Golden Banded Lily of Japan.)—Flowers white, dotted with crim- son spots and a golden band running through the middle of each sepal. A mag- nificent flower, measuring often twelve inches in diameter. Caxdidum—Pure white; sweet-scented. A very beautiful and desirable sort. Easter Lilt (Bermuda Easter—Harrisii)—Large, pure white, trumpet-shaped flow- ers, of great beauty and exquisite fragrance. This is the most valuable and pop- ular variety in cultivation for winter blooming, many thousands being grown each season for church decoration at Easter. Japoxicum Loxgiflorum—This is one of the finest White lilies. It is a long, trumpet-shaped flower, of a pure, pearly-white; very fragrant, hardy, and a free bloomer. Excellent for pot culture. Laxcifolium Album—Pure white, A very delicate and beautiful variety from Japan. Laxcifolium Rubrum—A most exquisite sort; sepals white, and dotted all over on the face side with crimson or carmine spots. Hardy, free blooming, and fine for pot culture or the garden. It cannot be too highly recommended or too gen- erally cultivated. Laxcifolium Puxctatum—Pink and white. Pardalixum—A very handsome small-flowered variety; yellow and red spotted. Texufolium—One of the earliest flowering lilies ; foliage slender, and flowers brill- iant scarlet. This is a little beauty. Tigrixum fl. pi. (Double Tiger Lily)—Bright orange scarlet, with dark spots. Narcissus—Garden Varieties—Admirably adapted for garden decoration in early spring. They are easily cultivated ; hardy ; very
