Michael D. Formica, region director of Installation Management Command – Europe, presents the plaque to Col. Steve Marks, commander, Army Garrison Italy. USAG Italy was the winner of the 2015 Deployment Excellence Award in the Army Installation Category (OCONUS) for Superior Performance of Duty in “deployment excellence resulting in improved combat readiness.” The ceremony took place at Caserma Ederle, Vicenza, Italy, Nov. 8, 2016.
