Central American migrants waiting on the train tracks get set to jump on a moving freight train headed north.

After almost a year of simmering conflict the Juan Diego Migrant shelter in the Lecheria neighborhood north of Mexico City, was symbolically closed by neighbors complaining of drugs, crime and unsanitary conditions on their streets. The Catholic Church, which runs the sanctuary for economic refugees from Central America, then officially closed it on Monday July 9, 2012, leaving the migrants with only a temporary tent for shelter. MIgrants ready themselves to try to hop a northbound freight train.
