Vehicle History: A 109 Series 2a Forward Control with a difference. These odd vehicles were built by Charmichael, the famous fire appliance body builders and given the designation FT/6. The additon of another bulkhead and doors gave much needed crew and equipment space. The rear body, floor, fuel tank and seat box stay in their original places. The army and air force were amongst some of the many users. This vehicle was ex-army being released in 1975 and purchased by a copper wire factory where it was hardly used, having covered only 5900 miles until 1986 when it was retired.
