LONG BEACH, Calif. – A landing craft air cushion departs from Long Beach to USS Pearl Harbor (LSD 52) after transporting Marines with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s Logistics Combat Element to their objective during Certification Exercise, June 6, 2017. CERTEX provides the opportunity to the Navy-Marine Corps team to improve interoperability in realistic scenarios and is the last in a series of training exercises, which certifies the MEU-ARG team capable for deployment in support of fleet and combatant commanders across the full range of military operations.
