American soldiers view the charred remains of prisoners that were burned upon a section of railroad track during the evacuation of Ohrdurf camp. Ohrdurf was a forced labour camp, a sub-camp of the Buchenwald complex. As the allies approched the SS evacuated the camp by forced marches and murdering those to weak to walk. An estimated 7000 people died there. The camp was liberated by the US Army on 4th April 1945
