Several thousand Yemeni bodega owners & their supporters gathered at Brooklyn's Borough Hall after closing their stores early in protest of President Trump's executive order banning immigration from several Muslim-majority countries, including Yemen. Many signs & speakers pointed out that while terrorists who have committed crimes on US soil had come from Saudi Arabia, a country not on Mr Trump's ban, none have come from Yemen. Many of those present also spoke of family members caught abroad due to the immigration restriction. Manhattan borough president Gail Brewer joined members of the NY city council to lend their support to the Yemeni bodega owners. (Photo by Andy Katz / Pacific Press)
