The Civic Centre at Barras Bridge Newcastle-upon-Tyne was opened in 1968 and among other facilities contains the council chamber a banqueting hall offices and a customer service centre. A bronze sculpture of the River-God Tyne by David Wynne is mounted on an external wall near the council chamber.
