Dabbawalas loading tiffin boxes onto bicycles for delivery throughout Mumbai, India
It has been suggested that ca. 200000 lunches are delivered in Mumbai each day by some 5000 dabbawallas. Despite the large numbers involved, the high levels of illiteracy and the relative low-technology utilised they have a tremendous reputation for reliability.
