WWI. Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italy. Monfalcone : 'Quota 85', also called 'Quota Enrico Toti'. The stone in memory of the one-legged cyclist of the Corps of 'Bersaglieri' Enrico Toti. He died during the attack of 'Quota 85'. He had already been shot more than once, when he threw his crutch against the enemy exclaiming “I shall not die”, just before being shot to death.
