It is thus difficult to determine the date more precisely. The field of GCPA 0242145 is less covered by modern band at edges than GCPA 0242146, suggesting that the tapestry was photographed at different times (Cavallo/Soustelle). This tapestry is unrecorded by Fénaille. The only known panel depicting the Crowning of Esther woven by Jacques Neilson's workshop is listed in Fénaille's État Général It should be signed "Neilson " & part of a set of four tapestries woven on low looms between 1761 & 1765 which was ordered by Lord Foley. That set was traced in 1900 to the collection of the Baron Albert de Rothschild at Halton Castle, England. In addition, Fénaille states that the set in question would have featured the border designed in 1738 by Pierre-Josse Perrot, also referred to as the first border. The present tapestry shows neither the above mentioned signature nor a border, thus cannot be part of the Lord Foley set. (Campbell/Soustelle). For a possible link to the Lord Foley set woven by Jacques Neilson, including the Crowning of Esther, see Set C (GCPA: 0184753:0184754, 0242143:0242144) (Soustelle). The related work from the Château de La Roche-Guyon (mentioned below) is signed Audran & without borders. Another related work, from the Mobilier National, features the first border
