A fine pair of flintlock pistols,French/Flemish,circa 1680. Round(shortened)barrels with smooth bore in 15 mm calibre,each with a silver front sight. The top of the barrels with chiselled raised mascaron and tendril decoration. Iron,cut flintlocks with mythical creatures amid tendrils in relief. Dark walnut stocks with chequered butts,the butt caps cut en suite. Butt caps,trigger guards and the ramrod thimbles all made of iron. Horn ramrods(one tip is a replacement). Length 35 cm each.
