OF ADEN (April 15, 2017) Amphibious dock landing ship, USS Carter Hall (LSD 50), fleet replenishment oiler, USNS Kanawha (T-AO 196), amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5), and dry cargo and ammunition ship, USNS Washington Chambers (T-AKE 11) sail together while executing a replenishment-at-sea. The Carter Hall and the Bataan it's ready group are deployed in the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations designed to reassure allies and partners, and preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
