MEDITERRANEAN SEA (Oct. 17, 2014) Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class Christopher Morey lowers an accommodation ladder as Boatswain’s Mate 1st Class David Benkendorf directs aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Mitscher (DDG 57). Mitscher, homeported in Norfolk, Va., is conducting naval operations in the 6th Fleet area of operations in support of national security interests in Europe.
