Before giving his episcopal benediction,his Grace also addressed the multitude, who filled thechurch, congratulating them on the improvement of theiredifice, and the general zeal manifested in the spii-itualgrowth of the parish. The parish of St. Pauls has several sodalities anda flourishing rosary society amongst its members, whilethe altar shows the zeal of the ladies of the societydevoted to its care and adornment. There is a well-sustained temperance society, and tlie conference of theSociety of St. Vincent de Paul is well organized andactive.
