For early spring use sow in September and protect through the winter in cold frames the same as cab- bages, or sow in hot beds in March and transplant to open ground as soon as it can be worked. For late supplies sow in the open ground as soon as the season will permit, in rows one foot apart; thin out plants one foot apart in rows. If sown every two or three weeks to the middle of August, it may be had in perfection the entire season. One oz. will sow 125 feet of drill and produce ALL SEASONS. All Seasons. This new variety is one of the best Head Lettuces we have ever seen. It is very solid and nearly as large as a good sized cabbage. The leaves are broad, crinkly and a beautiful light green, with a rich yellow appearance to the inner leaves. Being slow to go to seed it is valuable for either early or late sowing. It is a profitable va- riety for market gardeners as well as fine for home use. Pkt. 10c, oz. 25c, 541b. 75c. New York. A variety of summer cabbage lettuce that is very slow to run to seed.
