The 17th Special Operations Squadron is participating in Keen Sword 23, which is a biennial, joint field training exercise involving military and Japan Self- Defense Force (JSDF)personnel in the vicinity of Japan to enhance combat readiness and interoperability. The 17 SOS’s participation of Keen Sword will be supporting the ACE strategy via light logistics packages, to include bringing the ammunition needed for the duration of the exercise and the personnel needed to execute.
