220805-N-EV253-1081 SAN DIEGO (Aug. 5, 2022) – The Naval Medical Center San Diego Color Guard Detail parades the colors during a change of command ceremony for Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 3, held aboard Naval Air Station (NAS) North Island in Coronado, California, Aug. 5. During the ceremony, Capt. David Ayotte relieved Cmdr. Loren Jacobi, and became the 46th commanding officer to lead the "Merlins" of HSC-3. HSC-3 is the Navy’s west coast MH-60S fleet replacement squadron, responsible for training pilots and aircrewmen by providing the most capable warfighters to the fleet.
