When the weather has become thoroughly settled and danger from belated freezes is over (about corn planting time), transplant to open ground in warm, very rich and well-prepared soil, placing rows 3 feet apart, with plants 2 feet apart in the rows. The large, sweet sorts have become very popular and are always in demand. 734 Dreer's New "; (See Colored Plate, page 9.) Pkt., 25 cts.; £ oz., $; oz., $ 722 Chinese Giant. The very large fruits are bright scarlet, flesh is thick, remarkably sweet, without fieriness. The latest-maturing Pepper, requiring a long season of growth.
